Myofunctional Therapy for Children in Robina, Gold Coast

Myofunctional therapy uses gentle, targeted exercises to retrain how the tongue, lips, cheeks and jaw work together. It looks at resting mouth posture, breathing, chewing and swallowing, and how these fit with speech and development.

What families often notice

  • Mouth breathing or an open-mouth resting posture
  • Snoring or noisy breathing at night
  • Tongue thrust or messy eating and drinking
  • Speech sounds affected by tongue placement
  • Being referred by a dentist or orthodontist

What's involved

  1. A full myofunctional assessment
  2. An individual program of exercises for your child
  3. Short home activities, with regular check-ins

Sessions are available in our Robina clinic or online, and we also offer self-paced training. We're happy to work alongside your child's dentist, orthodontist or GP.
